WHAT IS ARES ?

FCC Licensed amateur radio operators who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment, with the local ARES leadership, for communications duty in the public service when disaster strikes.

PRIMARY NETS

Please Note: Statewide ARES VHF Net 2026 Hurricane Season schedule:

For the June through November 2026 Hurricane Season, the net will be convened at 20.00 (8:00 PM) US ET on the following dates:
June 7 and 21
July 5 and 19
August 2 and 16
September 6 and 20
October 4 and 18
November 8 and 22
These nets will use the combined Charleston Amateur Radio Society and Trident Amateur Radio Club Linked Systems. The linked systems are linked into the SCHEART Awendaw Hub and the SCHEART Reflector. Currently, if you are in the Columbia and Conway areas, you are encouraged to check in to the net by using the local SCHEART repeaters (Columbia 146.715 Tone 91.5, Conway 146.715 Tone162.2). Connect the repeater to the Reflector by entering: ” *0

 

Statewide ARES HF Net:

Held on Tuesdays  6:00pm (local) on 3.990 LSB

 

Statewide ARRL NTS Net:

Held every night at 7:00pm (local) on 3.915 LSB for more information please go to http://scssb.net/
