WHAT IS ARES ?
FCC Licensed amateur radio operators who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment, with the local ARES leadership, for communications duty in the public service when disaster strikes.
Please Note: Statewide ARES VHF Net (Note updated end-of-Hurricane Season schedule):
For the remainder of the 2025 Hurricane Season, the net will be convened on the at 20.00 (8:00 PM) US ET on the following dates:
9/14/25, 9/28/25
10/12/25, 10/26/25
11/9/25, 11/23/25
using the combined Charleston Amateur Radio Society and Trident Amateur Radio Club Linked Systems. The linked systems are linked into the SCHEART Awendaw Hub and the SCHEART Reflector. Currently, if you are in the Columbia and Conway areas, you are encouraged to check in to the net by using the local SCHEART repeaters (Columbia 146.715 Tone 91.5, Conway 146.715 Tone162.2). Connect the repeater to the Reflector by entering: ” *0

Held on Tuesdays 6:00pm (local) on 3.990 LSB
Statewide ARRL NTS Net:
